Private Online Lessons

I’ve been teaching private lessons for over 10 years now. I’ve had somewhere between 150-200 students over the years. I only teach online these days, but if you’re looking for accordion, mandolin, or composition lessons, I can share all I know with you.

Accordion

I teach diatonic button, piano, and chromatic button accordion. I use lesson books, scales, and work on ear training. No prior music experience necessary. I teach all levels of accordion from absolute beginner to advanced. You will learn hand independence, bellows control, sight-reading, music theory, and performance techniques.

Mandolin

I teach bluegrass and Irish mandolin. Scales and songs. Reading sheet music and by ear. All levels from absolute beginner to advanced. I don’t teach all genres, just bluegrass, Irish, and classical mandolin.

Composition

I teach film composition and music/theory composition lessons. Catered assignments for your skill level. No prior music experience necessary. For film composition, it ends up being about half technology and half music theory. For theory/concert composition lessons, the assignments are more theory and aural skills.

Instrument Tracking

I’ve played instruments on numerous composers’ scores for film, TV, games, ads, songs, and more. Typically, I record remotely at my studio and send stems of each pass. Can come to composer’s studio if extremely necessary. I offer tracking services for piano accordion, traditional Irish button accordion, mandolin, mandolin, vocals, guitar, and banjo.
